Ca’ di Battaglia

Around the 12th century the plague forced the Venetians to move their foodproducing farms more south.

Hence the origin of the name of the house, Ca’ di Battaglia,

which means house of the grain tresher.

Ca’ is the Venetian contraction of the word casa and Battaglia means harvesting the grain.

The first origin of the actual house dates back about 400 years.

An old Tuscan style stone farmhouse with wooden beams on 2 floors surrounded by oakwoods and a great view.
